How to Plan Content in 7 days
Content creating shouldn’t come with dread, anxiety, or mental exhaustion before you even begin. It also shouldn’t require new ideas everyday—overworking and taxing your brain to the point of burn out or giving up.
In this video, we go over simple ways to maximize ONE key idea in a 7-day content plan that turns that idea into multiple posts in a multi-platform system. Here’s what you need to begin:
ONE idea (what do you ultimately want your audience to know)
Think of AT LEAST 3 key points from that idea to highlight (think of these as main points in a new paragraph in a single essay)
Create your long form content rooted in your single idea and organized by your 3 main points (video, blog/article, newsletter)
Make a HOOK LIST for your overall message and your main points (overarching goal and then the purpose/message of the main points)
Draft/schedule 3 short form videos (90 seconds or less) and 2 caption posts
Those 5 pieces of content will be used across 5 days of the week with 1 day dedicated to sharing to stories, friends, family and the final day to check analytics
By creating a system up front that works for you and with your busy schedule, you’ll free up time later by plugging and playing your content within the framework to keep content creating stress free.
This is just a template to start and is meant to be adaptable to your individual needs—whether you’re a solo creator, individual business, or small business owner.
NOW IT’S TIME TO APPLY WHAT YOU’VE LEARNED
Try out this template for 2 WEEKS with old content that didn’t perform well and compare the analytics.
This process will serve as the foundation of consistency as we move further into building strategy habits, content scheduling, and self-discipline.
Content creating should be seamless, not stressful.
